Curtis Allen Keener
Curtis Allen Keener, 66, of Clayton, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Rabun County to Ed Keener and Kate Curtis Green. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a member of Mountain City Church of God.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Keener; and a brother, Michael Keener.
Survivors include: his wife, Sarah Vinson Keener of Clayton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Elizabeth and Larry Shirley of Rabun Gap and Sunshine and Shane Watts of Clayton; three brothers, Jerry Keener, Steve Keener and Ronnie Keener, all of Rabun Gap; a stepbrother, Brownlow Green of Franklin, N.C.; a half-brother, David Green of Mount Vernon, Ky.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Mountain City Church of God with the Revs. Wren Worley and David Green officiating. Burial followed at Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery.
