I would like to hear from the class of 1990. I moved away from Rabun County; would like to move back, but have a family and a good job. I now live in Vance, Ala. It is nice to be able to read about the changes that are going on in Rabun. What I miss the most is the trout fishing. If anyone from the class of 90 wants to get in touch, e-mail me gwolf903@aol.com.

I just a few weeks ago found the name of the newspaper name from Clayton. I was born in Stephens County in 1938. My family moved near and then to Clayton when I was very young. I remember somewhere near the funeral home (the oldest one ) living in an old house with dirt floors. I was born J. Swain Walker to Mildred Moore (Walker) and Frank Walker. I have cousins all over Rabun County. The Moores, the Speeds, the Millers (from Scaley mountain), the Hoopers from Tiger. There are many more I just cannot remember. My mother, Mildred Moore (McAlister), was the last of her family. There was Aunt Ann and Samathy and their children. Gosh, I think there were at least 10 children in each family of the Speeds. I just hope that if any see this they will write to me. Please publish my e-mail. Its swainw@pbtcomm.net. I would love to hear from them all. You got a great paper and the most beautiful part of Georgia. I visit often since finding the paper. I have so many fond memories of Clayton. Thanks

Just wanted to say thank-you to The Clayton Tribune for your on-line newspaper.Being in a auto accident in 1995 left it difficult for me to handle the pages of of the newspaper: with the on-line version I am able to keep-up with all "the happenings" as I am unable to drive-get out in the county as I used to, So a "A HUGE THANK-YOU" to the Tribune for this. Born and Raised in Rabun I enjoy keeping in touch with the things/people of RABUN....GOD's little place of "HEAVEN ON EARTH". In my oppion-THE GREATEST, MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN ALL OF THE WORLD. As a die hard Gator fan, and a helicopter pilot working at UF, I was surprised to find just how easy it was to converse with a similar fanatic for Bulldog football. As the saying goes "I went to the mount..." and I met Justin Raines up there tending to his football, his fire, and his stick crazy yellow lab. Despite my taunting of "Go Gators," I was not forced to sing any verse but was offered a cold drink and an open fire pit with a pork shoulder smoking. Severely humbled after the Gators loss, Justin showed true class by not rubbing in "our" loss. So to your bark Mr. Raines, I offer your my wounded chomp and a vow to return. I will supply the drinks...

I grew up in Clayton and a lot of my family still live there. i am currently living north of Boston and have traveled to app. 42 states and still think Rabun County is one of the most beautiful places in the country. I still miss the cross that use to stand on Black Rock Mtn. I input my maiden name as I am hoping to hear from an old classmate or friend. I go by my first name (Diana) and my last name is Mixon now. I still hope to move back and retire there (or sooner) one day!

I just have to say something about your new sports writter, Justin Raines. I love reading his articles about the outdoors. He seems to have a true love for nature but a quick enough wit to keep him from taking it all too seriously. I have been out of Clayton County for over 6 years but reading his past few columns takes me right back to what I love about North Georgia. Keep it up!!
