Elaine Jordan Ellington, 89, of Moultrie, passed away, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Magnolia Manor.

Born on Sept. 19, 1932, in Hahira, she was the daughter of the late William Milton Jordan and Ethel Donia Aldredge Jordan. She worked for the Grady County Board of Education for 30 years as the finance officer and was of the Methodist Faith.

Mrs. Ellington is survived by her brother, Fred Jordan of Tallahassee; special nieces, Dona West Phillips, and Karen West Williams; sisters-in-law, Betty Watson Ellington of Thomaston, Betty Wade Ellington of Thomaston, and Martha Jordan of Lutz, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Milburn Ellington; son, Ronald Jordan Ellington; brothers, Delma Jordan, and Donald Jordan; and sisters, Trudie Van Gasbeck, and LaRue West.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022, in the chapel at Magnolia Manor with Thomas Parrish, Lee Krivsky, and Jan Masters officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice.
