William “Bill” Albert Eidson, age 78 of Clayton, Ga., passed away April 29, 2021. He was the son of the late Joseph P. Eidson and Lula Whittaker Eidson. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Ronald Eidson, Donald Eidson, and Joe Eidson.

He is survived by his wife Cathie McKay Eidson of Clayton, Ga., mother-in-law, Dorothy Stockton, two step-daughters, Michelle Hopkins (Doug) of Clayton, Ga., Alyssa Mullins of Clayton, Ga., step-son, Ryan Williamson (Georgia) of Clayton, Ga., one brother, Jimmy Eidson of Lithia Springs, Ga., one brother-in-law, Lloyd McKay of Alto, Ga., two sisters in law, Claudette (Aubrey) Woods of Clayton, Ga., Lucille Schmalix of Clayton, Ga., step-grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Brittney, Brayden, step- great grandchildren Bentley, Knox, Sawyer, Harlie, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bill was a 1960 graduate of Douglas High School. He loved antiquing and had a booth at the Rabun flea market for 24 years, and also enjoyed going camping. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He retired from Pitney Bowes in Atlanta, Ga. He enjoyed people and once they met him, they would be friends forever.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. The body was cremated after the service.
