Sherold Salmon Auto Superstore has been in business in Rome since 1962 and at the current location at 506 Turner McCall Blvd. since 1968, which makes the dealership the old-est in Floyd County.

The company founder, Sherold Salmon, said he and his sons hand-pick their inventory and specialize in vehicles that are harder to pick. It’s a family-owned business and one that the owner takes pride in being hands-on with.

“We try to specialize in the customer’s needs,” said Salmon. “We can outsource across the country, pull inventory from other sources, to get whatever people need.”

Additionally, the full-service business offers free, in-house limited warranties, credit applications, and keeps a small in-ventory to keep costs down.
