He was born March 31, 1932, in Clayton to the late V.L. Moore and Eula Watts Moore. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by: three sisters, Inez Watts of Clayton; Alice Wilson of Tiger and Mary Stancil of New Hampshire; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Hunter Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Larry Cannon and Joe McCrackin officiating. Burial followed in the Stancil Family Cemetery on Dud Creek Spur in the Chechero community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to Hunter Funeral Home to help aid with funeral expenses.
