Carolyn Eileen Sale Loper, 70, of Clayton, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 11, 2014. Born Aug. 31, 1943, in Gulfport, Miss., she was the only daughter of Harvey and Mallie Cook Sale.

She leaves behind: her husband of 36 years, Bill Loper of Clayton; son, Samuel Pol and wife Lisa of Lawrenceville; daughter, Leslie Townsend of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Carly Pol and Lucas Pol, both of Lawrenceville, and Madison Glover, Matthew Townsend and Emily Townsend, all of Defuniak Springs, and Jonathan Townsend of Tallahassee, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, George, Louis and Ariana Glover of Defuniak Springs.

Eileen was a graduate of Gulfport High School and Mississippi State University. She had been a resident of Clayton for five years, having spent the prior 26 years in Destin, Fla., where she was the owner of Natures Jewelry and Dreamsicle Gallery in Grayton Beach, Fla. She loved her pursuit of art and being a business owner.

Eileen was a woman of great faith and belief in God. Her faith helped sustain her during her final days spent in her earthly home.

The family requests that anyone wanting to remember Eileen send a donation to the American Cancer Society in her name.

Georgia Cremation Centers in Acworth was in charge of arrangements. An online guestbook is available at
