Donald S. Moore, 61, of Tiger, died Sunday evening, Oct. 23, 2011, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1949, in Clayton to the late Lindsey C. and Louise Blair Moore. He was a member and a captain in the Rabun County Rescue Squad and was employed at Burlington Industries for a number of years. He was a member of the Tiger Baptist Church.

He is survived by: his wife, Judy Jones Moore of Tiger; two daughters, Tammy Moore and Patti Harkins, both of Tiger; four brothers, his twin Carl Moore and Ronald Moore, both of Tiger, and twin brothers Larry and Harry Moore, both of Clayton; three grandsons, Kyle Moore, Jack Harkins and Austin Moore; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Tiger Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Hunnicutt and Larry Cannon officiating. Burial followed at Tiger cemetery, with services conducted by Lloyd Hunter.

The family is at the residence on Lindsey Moore Lane in Tiger.
