Edith Crunkleton, 91, of Dillard, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Angel Medical Center in Franklin, N.C.

She was born July 3, 1921, in Macon County, N.C., but lived in Rabun Gap and Dillard for more than 60 years. She was a member of Dillard United Methodist Church and was a loving mother who devoted her life to raising her children after the death of her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, P.A., and her infant daughter, Donna.

Survivors include: daughters, Katherine Allison and husband Mike of Dillard, Barbara Mullinax and husband Randy of Gainesville and daughter Susan of Dillard; son, David and wife Kim of Otto, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Crunkleton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Her grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.

Memorial donations in Edith Crunkleton’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
