Edna Faye Lyons Wall, 89, of Clayton, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Hallett, Okla. She lived in Rabun County for the last 30-plus years. She retired as a grocery clerk in supermarkets and attended Clayton Church of God. She was the last member of her immediate family.

“Miss Edna” was preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph Franklin Lyons and Lillian Loveday Lyons; her husband, James Earl Wall; a son, Larry Bruce Wall Sr.; three brothers, Frank Lyons, James Lyons and Elvin Lyons; and a sister, Elsie Lyons Kidroski.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Wall of Clayton; two daughters, Sandra Tyndall and Donna Tarver, both of Clayton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Hunter Funeral Home with Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Pickett Cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Alexander officiating.
