Eloise Ann Hopely, 71, of Otto, N.C., died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Angel Medical Center in Franklin, N.C.

She was born April 12, 1942, in Lapier, Mich., to the late James A. and Eula F. Sweet Butler. She was an accountant and a member of Hickory Noll United Methodist Church for more than nine years.

She is survived by: her loving husband, Raymond F. Hopely of Otto; a son, Jeff Nelson of Boyton Beach, Fla.; five daughters, Laura Wooten of Franklin, Kelly Staso of Palm Desert, Calif., Wendy Broad of Franklin, Jennifer Wood (Kevin) of Orlando, Fla., and Cathy Fritz of Calhoun; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hickory Noll United Methodist Church in Franklin.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Macon County Humane Society in Franklin.
