Emily Rogers Tyler, 85, of Mountain City, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her residence. She was the widow of Cecil Harold Rogers.

She was born March 28, 1926, in Clayton to the late Walter and Molly Nix Rogers. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by two sons, Harold and Rickey Tyler.

She is survived by: two sons and their spouses, Travis and Dale Tyler of Mountain City and Terry and Vicki Tyler of Mountain City; a sister, Selene English of Florida; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
