Emily Rogers Tyler, 85, of Mountain City, died Monday night, March 18, 2013, at her residence. She was the widow of Cecil Harold Tyler.

She was born March 28, 1926, in Clayton to the late Walter and Molly Nix Rogers. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and Rickey Tyler.

She is survived by: two sons and their spouses, Travis and Dale Tyler of Mountain City and Terry and Vicki Tyler of Mountain City; a sister, Selene English of Florida; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Mountain City United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service.
