Freda Wooten Beaty, 54, of Clayton, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Oconee Hospice of the Foothills in Seneca, S.C.

Mrs. Beaty was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Macon County, N.C., to Fred and Ila Scott Wooten. She worked in the textile industry for many years and attended Clayton Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Harold “Buck” Beaty.

Survivors include: a son, Jack Beaty of Clayton; a sister, Shelia James and husband Clayton of Seneca; and a granddaughter, Julie Beaty of Clayton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial followed at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
