He was born June 20, 1944, in Bulloch to the late Gordon P. and Hazel F. Youmans Anderson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Mildred Anderson of Clayton; two daughters, Lynna and Kellie Jones, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Randy Anderson of Statesboro; two grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clayton Baptist Church, 87 S. Church St., Clayton, GA 30525; to Rabun Paws 4 Life, 261 Boen Creek Road, Tiger, GA 30576; or to the charity of one's choice.
