James C. “Jimmy” Blair, 67, of Cleveland, formerly of Rabun County, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Rabun County to the late Luther and Harriett Crump Blair. He was the husband of Carolyn Stewart Blair. Jim was assistant manager of Quality Control Burlington Industries/Fruit of the Loom in Rabun Gap. He was a member of New and Living Way Church in Mount Airy.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers, George Blair and Ralph Blair; and two sisters, Mildred Hancock and Maude Nicholson.

Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Stewart Blair of Cleveland; two daughters and their husbands, Pam and Justin Jackson of Wiley and Melissa and James Keener of Franklin, N.C.; a granddaughter, Emily Ann Southard of Franklin; a brother, Frank Blair of Danielsville; a sister, Betty Grubb of Jackson, Tenn.; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Sunday in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Garroute officiating. Burial followed at Rabun Memory Park.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor be made to New and Living Way Church, 767 Ivy Hills Circle, Mountain Airy, GA 30563.
