He was born Aug. 2, 1971, in Stephens County to Anita Wilson and Gervace Dodgins. He was the owner and operator of Soque Tree Service and a member of The Torch Worship Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his love was coaching softball. He coached little league softball and a travel softball team.
Surviving are: daughters, Haley Dodgins and Emily Dodgins, both of Demorest; his fiancée, Rebecca Tyler of Demorest; children of fiancée, Brooke Phillips, Caleb Phillips and Andrew Phillips, all of Demorest; his mother and stepfather, Anita and Tom Wilson of Gainesville; his father and stepmother, Gervace and Dianne Dodgins of Clarkesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Mike Hall of Gainesville and Kristi and Johnaton Rayner of Alto; stepsister, Marisa and James Dale of Cornelia; mother of his children, Allison Wright of Demorest; grandparents, Merle Frye of Demorest; grandparents and great-grandparents of his children, Nancy and Michael Lewallen of Cornelia; Frances Green of Demorest, Everage and Evelyn Lewallen of Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at The Torch Worship Center with the Revs. Scott Smith and Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
