Kelly Talley Munger, 42, of Highlands, N.C., passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at a local hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Bobby Joe Talley, formerly of Highlands, and Sandra Rogers Collins of Mountain Rest, S.C.

Kelly was a cosmetologist at Creative Concepts in Highlands and had worked in local real estate, serving in every capacity on the Highlands‑Cashiers Board of Realtors.

Kelly was a devoted, loving, wife, mother, daughter and sister who always put the well-being of others before herself. Her smile and laughter brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by: her husband, Joe Stephen Munger, who she was married to for 11 years; a son, Jonathan Spencer Munger of Gainesville; a daughter, Chelsea Mariah Munger of Highlands; two brothers, Randy Talley of Washington, D.C., and Roger Talley of Walhalla, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Lowe, Oliver Rice and Matt Shuler officiating. Pallbearers were Jim Luke, Ryan Gearhart, Michael Vilardo, James Reed, Brett Lamb and Jonathan Cannon. The Georgia State Troopers and Satolah Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made directly to Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St., Franklin, NC 28734.
