Louis Raymond Trowbridge, 57, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, after a tree felling accident.

Mr. Trowbridge was born May 23, 1956 in Miami. He was a longtime forklift driver as well as a trained locksmith. He enjoyed the mountains and had visited Rabun County for 36 years before settling here in 1992.

Mr. Trowbridge was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Trowbridge, and his sister, Mary Kay Auerbach.

He is survived by: his mother, Louise Trowbridge; three sisters, Rose Trowbridge, Rita Bosse and Irene Brown; two brothers, Charles Trowbridge and Stephen Trowbridge; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family will be accepting visits from 3-6 p.m. Friday at his home, 2039 Blue Ridge Gap Road, Clayton.
