Louise Owens Vandiver, 86, of Clayton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Macon County, N.C., to the late Evan Owens and Dora Brown Owens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, the Rev. Odell Owens; her second husband, Thomas Vandiver; two brothers, Luther Owens and the Rev. Eldon Owens; and three sisters, Mae Talley, Lizzie Dryman and Bessie Bryson.

Louise is survived by: a daughter, Karen Lovell and husband Danny of Tiger; a sister, Edna Bryson of Clarkesville; and a very special granddaughter, Nicole Lovell.

She was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church and was a loving and caring person who cherished her family and enjoyed her many friends and her church family.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Beck Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial followed in Timpson Creek Cemetery.
