She was born July 9, 1918, to John D. and Dona King Welborn in Jackson County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Carlton Irwin Coleman; a son, Grover Coleman; three brothers, J.D., Edley and Doc Welborn; two sisters, Mae Kilby and Maude Mize; and a grandchild, Isaac Coleman.
Margie is survived by: two sons, Bill Coleman and wife Rhonette of Milledgeville and Pat Coleman and wife Suzanne of Rabun Gap; two daughters, Dona Vinson of Dillard and Carla Thornton and husband William of Woodstock; a daughter-in-law, Burma Coleman of Rabun Gap; a sister, Millie Raby of Franklin, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Margie was a licensed practical nurse and was a member of Clayton Baptist Church and was also a member of WMU and Songbirds.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Beck Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Joe Nichols and Larry Cannon officiating. Burial followed at Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery.
