Marie Eller Nichols, 89, of Clayton, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Oaks at Scenic View Nursing Home in Baldwin. She was the widow of Vaughn Nichols.

She was born April 19, 1924, in Clayton to the late Harvey P. Eller and Margaret Many Eller. She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain City Church of God.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Violet Nichols.

Survivors include: four sons, Clifford and J.V. Nichols, both of Clayton, and twins Jamie and Jeremie Nichols, both of Royston; a daughter, Regena Watkins of Clayton; a sister, Fairy Mae Eller Smith of Tiger; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
