Funeral services for Nora L. Burke Anderson, 95, of Demorest, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Free and the Rev. Garvis Kinsey officiating. Burial followed in Nacoochee United Methodist Cemetery in Sautee.

Mrs. Anderson died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, following a period of declining health.

Born Feb. 4, 1917, in White County, she was the daughter of the late W. L and Mary Julia Russell Burke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene L. Anderson; brothers, Wilborn Burke and Douglas Burke; and sister, Mary Lou Westmoreland.

Mrs. Anderson was an office manager for Graham Paper Company and she was a member of Helen Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her brothers, John C. Burke of Cleveland, William C. Burke of Commerce City, Colo., and Gene M. Burke of Robertstown; sisters, Jennie Brooks of Demorest and Laraine Canup of Clarkesville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
