He was the son of Mildred Widgery of Clayton and the late Robert L. Widgery Sr.
Other survivors include: his wife, LizAnn Widgery of Miami; a daughter, Kim (Steve) Leatherman; grandsons, Ryan Blake Leatherman and Jack Leatherman; and a brother, John Widgery of Clayton.
