He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Meacham.
Survivors include: three children, Karen terHaar and husband Fred, Betsy Bursey and husband Mike and Bill Meacham and wife Marilee; and two grandsons, Bob and Max Bursey.
Services will be private. Oakey’s Vinton Chapel and Crematory in Vinton, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
