This is a recent photograph of the ongoing construction effort at Meeting House Point on Lake Burton in the wake of a late-April tornado that ripped through portions of the Lake Burton and Mountain City. Nine months later, while much of the landscape still appears barren, many property owners are repairing or rebuilding their homes. Scott Poss recently took some overhead photographs of the construction efforts along Burton and other damaged areas in the county.
