Barry Keith Henson, 49, of Otto, N.C., passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.

Barry was born in Macon County to the late Gilmer H. Henson and Anna Howard Henson of Otto. He worked as a clerk for Valley Supply in Dillard and helped maintain the family farm. He was a friend to all in his community and an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a brother, Scott Henson and wife Rhonda, and a niece Jessica Lynn Henson.

Memorial services were held Oct. 18 at the chapel of Bryant‑Grant Funeral Home with the Revs. Duane Corle and Janet Greene officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Norris, Kevin Payne, Doug Stringer and Jack Craig.

Memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 25 Woods Lake Road, suite 704, Greenville, SC 29607; or Asbury Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 113, Otto, NC 28763.
