He is survived by: his wife of 28 years, Katherine Jordan Addis of Buford; a daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Rodney Daniels of Fort Myers, Fla.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe and Dana Addis of Woodstock and James Addis of Atlanta; his stepmother, Esther Addis of Tiger; four grandchildren, Matthew Daniels and Rachel Daniels, both of Fort Myers and Jaedon Addis and Alexis Addis, both of Woodstock; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Daniel McCravy and Shirley and Carl Olsen, all of Douglasville, and Linda and Harry Jackson of Buford; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Ann Addis of Alpharetta and Jimmie Addis of Tiger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Addis was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Tiger. He was a graduate of Rabun County High School and a retired fireman from the city of Atlanta after 25 years of service. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Buford with Frank Valeo presiding.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Katherine Addis in memory of Carlton Addis.
