She was born Dec. 26, 1931, in Rabun County to the late Maury B. McKay and Oma Woodall McKay. She was the widow of Augustus Zimmerman. She was a waitress in the restaurant business. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Taylor’s Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Augustus Zimmerman; five brothers, Willie J. McKay, Wesley McKay, Johnny Ray McKay, Frank McKay and Bud McKay; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is survived by: two brothers, Bill McKay of Clayton and David McKay of Lakemont; two sisters, Ann Quina of Fort Myers, Fla., and Louise Arvey of Ellenwood; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Camp Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Thomas Burrell and Buddy McKay officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
