Burma Lou Dickerson Patterson, 93, of Clayton, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at Mountain View Health Care in Clayton. She was the widow of John Lee Patterson.

She was born March 11, 1918, to the late Dock and Effie Welborn Dickerson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was the last member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by: two daughters, Betty Sue Patterson and Judy Patterson Payne; four brothers, Dellon, Dover, Wiley and Denver Dickerson; and a sister, Durel Justus.

She is survived by: three sons, Robert and (Suevon) Patterson of Rocky Face, Delmo and (Carolyn) Patterson of Tiger and Doyle and (Judy) Patterson of Clayton; two daughters, Jane and (Larkin) Oliver of Auburn and Joyce Reeves of Tallulah Falls; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Nichols and layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery.
