He was the son of U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Roger Speeg (retired) and Mildred Torres-Speeg of Mountain City. He was employed by the Palmetto Bank of Laurens, S.C., as a system analyst.
He is survived by: his wife, Sheryl Speeg; his mother and father, Capt. Roger and Mildred Speeg of Mountain City; a sister, Vivianne Speeg Dupeire of Kennesaw; two nephews, Marine Staff Sgt. Joseph Gillooly and Dwayne Dupeire II; a stepdaughter, Jessica Sibley of Augusta; and two grandchildren, Elijah James and Esther Joy Sibley of Augusta.
Liberty Mortuary in Liberty is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday.
