William Henry “Bug” Ivester, 82, of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012.

He was born on May 27, 1930, in Habersham County to the late Alfred and Flora Littleton Ivester. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a retired farmer from the Albert Cobb Farm.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and David Barrs of Clarkesville, Maria and Terry Kaminski of Baldwin and Doris and Scott Youngblood of Toccoa; daughter Rita Zavala of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Tammy Ivester of Clayton; three brothers, Jim Ivester of Clarkesville, John Ivester of Toccoa and Ray Ivester; a sister, Margaret Smith of Lula; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery.
