He was born June 7, 1955, in Rabun County to the late L.E. and Vera Hunter Craig. He was employed in the textile industry for a number of years and at the time of his death was employed at the Huddle House in Clayton. He was of the Church of God Faith.
Raymond was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Craig.
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Ron Baumes of Clayton; a brother, Kenneth Craig of Clarkesville; three sisters, Carolyn Foster, Ruth English and Helen Godwin, all of Clayton; four grandchildren, Gage Stiefel, Daniel Willis, Ronald Baumes IV and Michael Baumes; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Hunter Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ronald Baumes officiating. Burial followed at Rabun Memory Park with the Rev. Jim Carver conducting the graveside service.
