Mrs. Huff died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.
Born Feb. 7, 1928, in Cornelia, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esta Wood Crow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Huff; daughter, Elizabeth Huff; son, Howie Huff; and sisters, Peggy Short and Beverly Chambers.
Mrs. Huff graduated from Piedmont College and then received her master’s degree from Brenau University. She was a retired elementary school teacher with more than 30 years of experience, having taught most of that time at Cornelia Elementary School. Mrs. Huff was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia for several decades. She was also a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and currently a member of Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Celia and Ben Brooks of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Benje and Frances Huff of Demorest; grandchildren, Micky Huff, Matthew Huff, Ben Huff, Jeremy Brooks, Cecil Brooks, Ellie Brooks Saucedo, and Stephanie Huff Adams; and eight great-grandchildren.
