Prudence Dotson Smith, 80, of Tiger, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Habersham Medical Center. She was the widow of William David “Dick” Smith.

She was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Rabun County to the late Charlie B. Dotson and Minnie Craig Dotson. She was a licensed practical nurse, and she attended Tiger Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by: three sons; Michael “Pig” Smith, Larry Smith and Charles “Chuck” Smith; a grandson, Chad Smith; eight brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include: two brothers, Ronnie Dotson of Baldwin and Dywane Dotson of Sandy Hook, Miss.; a sister, Lorene Dotson Rogers of Clayton; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Burial followed at Tiger Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 241, Clayton, GA 30525.
