Virginia “Ginger” Bower Wunderlich, 86, of Demorest, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. 

Mrs. Wunderlich was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Salisbury, Md., to the late Ammon William and Eva Bowling Bower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 siblings. She attended Demorest Methodist Congregational Federated Church. She was a retired nurse and above all a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband, Van E. Wunderlich or Demorest; a daughter, Joy Lynne Wunderlich of Cleveland; a son, Jon Martin Wunderlich of Lawrenceville; a sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Donald Ewald of Spring Hill, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Raleigh Wunderlich and Charlotte Wunderlich.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Demorest Methodist Congregational Federated Church with the Rev. Joyce Acree officiating. Burial will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to: Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
