Glenn Jamison Taylor, 95, of Wiley, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Eastview Nursing Home in Macon.

He was born March 31, 1918, in Rabun County to the late Crampton and Illa Turpin Taylor. He was the widower of Lucille Cannon Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a service mechanic with Macon Transit Authority for 40 years. He was a member of Wiley Church of God.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by: two sisters, Katherine Taylor Lang and Evelyn Taylor McKenzie; and two brothers, Bob Taylor and Dwayne Taylor.

Survivors include: a son, David E. Taylor of Wiley; a daughter, Patricia Kitchens (Charles) of Dry Branch; a brother, J.C. Taylor of Lakemont; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at noon today at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmie Kilby and layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in D.D. Taylor Cemetery in Wiley.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. The family is at the home on Worley Creek Road.
