Chrichelle “Shelly” Holcomb, 32, of Homer and formerly of Rabun County, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.

She was born April 9, 1981, in Stephens County and lived most of her life in Rabun County. She was a Rabun County High School graduate and worked at Sudz N’ Bubbles, but had been disabled. She was a member of Special Olympics and attended Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

Shelly is survived by: her parents, Robert and Susie Ivester Taylor of Homer; maternal grandparents, Doyce and Sarah Crump Lovell of Homer; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Linda Baker Taylor of Dillard; and by her grandmother, Ruth Grant of Clayton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the new chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Revs. Chuck Stutsman and Thomas Gragg officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
