Billy Daniel, 82, of Clayton, died Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

He was born March 6, 1932, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Guy and Mary Grace Hicks. She worked for the W.W. Kellogg Company and attended Clayton First United Methodist Church. She was the last member of her immediate family.

She is survived by: her loving husband of many years, Delaine Evans of Clayton; two sons, Delaine Evans Jr., of Atlanta and Robert Evans (Maria) of Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters, Edwina Bruce (Keith) of Raleigh, Sabrina Evans of Italy and Katrina Evans of Raleigh; five grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The body was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clayton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Green officiating.
