Dorothy Ann Shaw Johnson, 74, of Clayton, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on Long Island, N.Y., to Arthur Shaw and Lois Crotwell Shaw. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank Gordon Johnson Sr.; and two daughters Robin Johnson and Mendy Meyer.

She is survived by: her son, Frank Gordon Johnson Jr. of Clayton; a brother, Billy Shaw of Ocala, Fla.; a grandchild, Timber Gaddis; and two great-grandchildren, Xander Gaddis and Zach Gaddis.

Mrs. Johnson loved gardening, crafts and reading. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchild and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Turpen officiating.

Thelma Helena Justus, 97, of Clayton, passed away Nov. 7, 2014, at the Habersham Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lela Dickerson Justus.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie, and three brothers, Noel, Neal, and Bruce Justus. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ms. Justus was a member of Clayton Baptist Church. She was 18 when she joined the church. She was part of the Big A Class Children’s Ministries on Tuesday at Clayton Baptist Church.

She worked at Reeves Hardware for 50 years and she loved gardening and working with flowers.

She was a graduate of Tallulah Falls School, Class of 1935. After graduating, she attended college at Piedmont College where she studied business courses.

Funeral services for Ms. Justus were held Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Interment followed at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
