William Allen Echols Jr., 86, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at his home.

He is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Agnes “Dolly” Echols; a son, William T. Echols of Clayton; three daughters, Karen Rushing and husband Johnny of Murray, Cindy DiBlasio and husband John of Parsons, Tennessee; and Gina Walker of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Arjuna Echols, Mandy McAuley, Matthew Echols, Rebekah Wallace, Jessica Sumner, Justin Sperry, Danielle Dowell, Allison Cochran, Joe DiBlasio, Nick DiBlasio and LeAnna Echols; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Frank DiBlasio.

He was a retired World War II veteran in the Army Air Corps, a member of American Legion and a retired salesman. Most notably, he was a devoted Christian.

He lived and worked in Clayton for many years. He owned U-Haul and Mini Storage of Main Street, and he worked for the county until he retired and moved to Murray with Johnny and Karen Rushing. Condolences can be sent to the family at: 15 Kenwood Drive, Murray, KY 42071.

A military graveside service was held Saturday at Murray Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
