Authorities arrest 2 on felony drug charges
An ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in Clayton has already resulted in two arrests.
On Wednesday, June 7, the Rabun County Sheriff's Office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office executed a search warrant at 4 Cotton Lane after a two-month investigation. Jamee Boom Boom Doddridge, 34, and Gabrielle Elaine Gilley, 22, both of Clayton, were arrested. Doddridge was charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, two counts of possession of an illegal controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes. Gilley was charged with possession of a Schedule I or Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of a Schedule III, IV or V controlled substance with intent to distribute.
A press release states the street value of the drugs was $400.
Doddridge and Gilley were taken to the Rabun County Detention Center, where they remained on Friday. Gilley was held without bond. Doddrige's bond was set at $22,000.
