Cats return to field for spring session
TIGER — With the sound of a whistle and the thump of music, the Rabun County football team began its first spring practice in Tiger last Wednesday.
The Wildcats took to the practice field for a 2-hour session, the first of nine scheduled practices leading up to their annual spring game Friday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium.
“Anytime we’re back on the grass, getting to coach these kids to fly around, putting the helmets on and representing Rabun County, there’s always a lot of excitement,” said Jaybo Shaw, who enters his first season as Rabun’s head coach.
