DILLARD— The city of Dillard issued a notice of a new Animal Control Ordinance for residents living in city limits.
Glenda Enloe, city clerk, said that the notice went out with the October water bills and is effective as of Aug. 13, 2019.
The ordinance was approved by Dillard City Council members at their meeting in August.
“It’s not a very large ordinance. In all, I think it covers everything,” said Mayor William Robinson about the animal ordinance at the August meeting.
Discussion for the need of an ordinance specific to animal control began in May when council members planned to create a nuisance ordinance for the city.
