Early voting continues through next Friday, Nov. 1 at the Rabun County Board of Elections office, 19 Jo Dotson Circle, Suite 201.

Registered voters can walk in and cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

There is no Saturday voting for city elections and only those registered to vote within city limits can vote in city elections, according to Tammy Whitmire, elections supervisor.

Week one of early voting yielded 105 registered voters going out to the polls. Week two showed 10 voters as of noon Monday, according to data from the Rabun County Board of Elections Office.

Whitmire clarified that these numbers do not include any absentee ballots that were cast.

There are 2,504 Rabun County residents registered to vote within the city limits of Dillard, Sky Valley, Tiger, Tallulah Falls and Clayton.

The city of Dillard has 232 registered voters, with six having voted early as of Monday at noon.

Sky Valley has 339 registered voters, with 46 people voting early; Tiger has 284 registered voters with nine having voted early, and Tallulah Falls has 152 registered voters, with 10 having voted early.

The city of Clayton makes up the largest portion of registered voters with 1,497 people, 44 of those having voted early.

The city of Mountain City is not holding an election because qualified candidates were unopposed.

Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 5 and polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
