Edna JoAnn Stancil White, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of July 9, 2019 after a long and hard fought four-year health battle.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.  She adored her family and loved serving others. Above all she loved Jesus and believed that "God is good all the time."
Edna was the daughter of the late George Romaine Stancil, Sr and Eula Mae Queen Stancil. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband James William White, brother George Stancil, Jr; sisters Fair Bodiford, Agnes Baxley, Barbara Hawkins, Mildred Stancil, Beatrice Stancil and Baby Boy Stancil who died at birth.  
She is survived by her children Danny (Cathy) White of Tiger, Ga., Cathy (Hayward) Lovell of Tiger, GA and Jan (Ethan) Church of Tiger, Ga.  Grandchildren, Stefanie Lovell-Taylor, Joshua Sosebee, Zachary Lovell, Colton Sosebee, Alicia White Kilby, Kallie White, Maddi Rose Church and Conor Church; one great-granddaughter Stori Grace Taylor. Sisters Georgia Wilson, of Clayton, GA, Genny Richardson of Westminster, SC, Judi Pedraza of Seneca, SC and a special sister-in-law Eloise Stancil of Walhalla, S.C. and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she served for many years in whatever capacity she was needed, whether it be VBS, Awana, Fall Festival, revivals, choir, her Sunday School Class or in the kitchen.  She also loved her friends at the Senior Center where she volunteered often and participated as well. She was retired from Tallulah Falls School where she worked many years.
A Celebration of Life Memorial was held on Saturday July 13, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Cates officiating. The families are at their respective residences.
