Evelyn Hyer, 91, of Clayton, Ga, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020.
A native of Asheville, N.C., Mrs. Hyer has been a long-time resident of DeLand, Florida and Clayton, Georgia.
Evelyn and her late husband owned Ray Hyer Carpet in DeLand, Fla. for over 15 years. Family and faith were the foundations upon which Evelyn and her late husband Ray built their lives. She was happiest when spending time with her family.
Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons; Gary (Pam) Hyer of Dillard, Ga, Rick Hyer (Marcia) of Otto, NC, Michael (Sandra) Hyer of Tiger, Ga.; a daughter, Patricia (Richard) Whitaker of Deltona, Fla.; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hyer.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hyer were held at Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Chaplain David Feathers officiating.
Interment was to be held Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at DeLand Memorial Gardens, DeLand, Fla.
