Kaydence Evanescense Nichols, 16, of Hannibal, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 19, 2020. 

She was born in 2004, in Franklin, North Carolina, a daughter to Jeremie Nichols and Kayla Beasley Nichols. Although she lived in New York, Rabun County held a special place in her heart as it was her first home.  Kaydence was a senior at Hannibal High School, where she was making high honor roll. She enjoyed music, was a member of the band and chorus and always wanted to travel. Music and the happiness of everyone around her meant everything to her.

Kaydence was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Vaughn and Marie Nichols and maternal great-grandfather, Daniel Webster Beasley.

She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her parents, Kayla Nichols of Hannibal, N.Y. and Jeremie Nichols of Royston, Ga.; siblings, Jeremiah (Shianne Moore) Nichols, Alexis Reed; maternal grandmother, Polly (Francis Tallman) Shampine; maternal grandfather, Dean Webb; maternal great-grandmother, Patsy O’Shields; close cousins, Bret Nichols and Jacklynn Beasley, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life and balloon release will be held 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020 at the Chechero Fire Station. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Go Fund Me Page set up for both her and Riley, https://www.gofundme.com/f/warriors-helping-warriors
