Martha Ann Metzgar, 83, passed away on July 17, 2019.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Marie Cooke, brother John Cooke, and infant son, Andrew.
She is survived by her husband, Dick (60 years), daughter Rev. Debbie Metzgar Shew (David), son Stephen and granddaughter Hanna Shew.
She lived the “Martha” role in service in many venues. Her favorite was as a Hospice volunteer in Dayton, Ohio and in the Rabun County area during her 17 years of retirement.
A service was held Wednesday, July 23 at St. James Episcopal Church.
