Each December for over a decade, a massive lights display shines through the night sky in Tiger to bring holiday cheer and support a great local cause. The Christmas Village of Lights returns for two weekends of family fun on Friday, Dec. 12, through Saturday, Dec. 13, and Friday, Dec.

The holidays are a time for making memories, spending time with loved ones and continuing time-honored family traditions. Local nonprofit Foxfire is committed to continuing those traditions and values that have made Southern Appalachia strong.

Town of Tiger to meet about 2026 budget

The Town of Tiger will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. at Tiger Town Hall, 3011 Old Highway 441 South, Tiger, for input on the 2026 budget. A special called meeting will be held at Tiger Town Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 6 p.m. to adopt the 2026 budget.

The Town of Tallulah Falls kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas party at the Town Hall on Friday, Dec. 5. Townspeople and students at Tallulah Falls School showed out to the family-friendly event which featured a potluck dinner, caroling and live music.
